The Aesthetics and Cultural Landscapes Working Group’s objective is to research issues regarding the assessment of the aesthetic value of cultural landscapes, particularly in a World Heritage context. Tasks undertaken have included the preparation of a general reference for considering aesthetic value in all spheres of activities, and preparation of a discussion paper on current issues pertaining to the aesthetic value and its assessment in the World Heritage setting.
